Equinix IX Hong Kong Connection Interrupted

We encountered a connection problem with Equinix IX Hong Kong at around 11:23 PM on July 30, 2020. This caused us to completely disconnect from Equinix IX Hong Kong. The BGP system quickly re-routes traffic to other paths.

After inspection by our NOC team, this problem was caused by an unknown Huawei device sending BPDU Packets to our port.

After communicating with other Equinix IX Hong Kong participants, we found that they also received BPDU Packets from unknown Huawei equipment.

We have asked Equinix to check for this issue.
